Matt Beddows from our school recently travelled to Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province in China, while there he was able to meet with our Shifu’s TaiJi teacher- Master Ji Jian Cheng. Shifu Dale has been a student of and followed Master Ji since 1990; when Master Ji first travelled to the UK as part of a university lecturer exchange program.
Master Ji is Dean of physical education at Jiliang University in Hangzhou, one of the largest universities in Zhejiang province.
Weather conditions were wet and cold, but Matt was able to enjoy a personally guided tour around West Lake in Hangzhou.
Matt also presented Master Ji with two of our new Eagle Claw School banners. Master Ji kindly sent a gift of a gold fan back to Shifu Dale. This fan is now framed and proudly hanging on the wall of our school.
It will be a great pleasure for our school to host Master Ji for seminars and teaching, when he returns to the UK.
